Coming Together for the Holidays: Level365’s First Gift Drive

This past year, Level365 took a different approach to the holiday season. Currently, many of our employees give back to the community through volunteering and contributing to their favorite non-profits, such as the Humane Society and Gennesaret Free Clinics. However, this past holiday season, an intern took the initiative to find a way to give back to the community together through a gift drive for a nonprofit in Indianapolis.

Where it began

Sam Lewis, a marketing intern for Level365, wanted to find a way to give back to the community. He organized and implemented a gift drive for Firefly Children & Family Alliance. His goal was to ensure families and children across Central Indiana will have a wonderful holiday. Each child’s story is unique; they want their holiday wishes to come true. Level365 partnered with various businesses and organizations in Fort Ben, with a dropbox located at each business. Within six weeks, Level365 surpassed its toys and household essentials goal by 150%.

Giving Back to the Community

Firefly Children & Family Alliance is a nonprofit in Indianapolis that supports adults and children through various programs and services. Some of their services include child abuse prevention, home-based help, youth placement, and recovery programs. Furthermore, in 2021, the organization served more than 50,000 clients and 91,000 children through its programs.

Community Players

A total of seven different companies wanted to give back to the community. These businesses in Fort Ben partnered with us by placing a collection box inside their business and donating toys. Firstly, the top donators to our gift drive included Fitzgerald’s Lunch House,  Phaya Thai, and Level365’s Employees.

Secondly, Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza and Porter Books & Bread also donated gifts such as Barbies and educational games to the drive for the nonprofit in Indianapolis.

At the beginning of the gift drive, Level365 set a goal of collecting 100 toys for Firefly. By the end of the six weeks, we accomplished our goal by collecting 150 toys and other household essentials and supporting Central Indiana children and their families wishing for a happy holiday season. Thank you to all the businesses who were able to give back to the community and helped make this a great success!
